Presentation Content

A GLAD Diet and Exercise C-U-R-E-S for Better Health presentation by Tim Erson introduces a plethora of low-cost-diet and no-cost-activity strategies. Through practical demonstrations and a uniquely designed two-page handout you'll take home guidelines in five categories that relate to healthier eating, and discover a simple set of 65 different exercises that are systematically arranged, safe and easy-to-complete.

More specifically:

The GLAD dietary strategies use the letters C-U-R-E-S to identify foods and food groups that work to reduce chronic inflammation, decrease insulin resistance and improve overall health. The presentation compares the SAD (Standard American Diet) and GLAD (God's Literally Awesome Diet) options. Tim also shares budget-conscious CURES from his own pantry that he and his family use to curb junk food cravings and cultivate better health without the need to spend a lot of money on commercially advertised products. What foods are included in GLAD? Scroll down to find out when you read the poem below.

C-U-R-E-S for Better Movement introduces physical activities that are fun-to-do, easy-to-learn and available-to-perform at no-cost in your own home. They include: seven head-to-toe CURES for flexibility; five head-to-toe CURES for strengthening; a set of CURES to improve balance and coordination; and a CURES set to enhance your aerobic benefit when walking. Amazingly, this 65-exercise-set is logically-sequenced, easy-to-remember and works to benefit the memory centers of your brain.

What Foods are Included in *GLAD?

by Timothy Erson © 2024

Cruciferous vegetables, tree nuts and seeds;

salads, herbs, spices; clean meats and cheese;

cooked eggs and fish for those Omega 3s;

plus extra-virgin olive oil; fresh fruit if you please.

Kimchi and sauerkraut fermented are fine.

They compliment dishes with enzyme-rich brine.

Plain yogurt and kefir; tangy apple cider vinegar,

all work to make your digestion much easier.

Factory foods you should try to avoid.

Their processing process makes nutrients void.

Though beautifully packaged, artificial and cheap;

they won't help your health, but good shelf-life they keep.

So if better health you would seek from a meal,

get *GLAD and choose mostly foods that are real.

There's lots you can do, there's lots you can make.

A journey toward health is a good one to take.

Taste and see that the LORD is good! Psalm 34:8
